A reply to this:

I never thought I'd make a counter-stamp, but this pissed me off for some reason.

If it weren't for manga and anime, I'd have half the friends I have now. It's not like that's the only reason we're friends, but it's the common interest that encouraged our meeting in the first place. I wouldn't know anyone in J-Club, or anyone in Animatics, and I'd probably only have three friends; Caitlyn, Laura, and Zan. Not that I don't absolutely LOOOVE them, but I love everyone else, too, like Superior and Mabs and Eric and April and Niku. Hell, Niku and I met through Naruto, and I don't even LIKE that anymore, but I still like her. ;D

So to the above stamp, its maker, and its supporters -- shut up, please, until you know what you're spewing about.

ava-ire Featured By Owner Oct 13, 2011's freaking ridiculous for the person to say something like that.
Just because it's Japanese doesn't make it inferior :@ In today's society, that could be taken as racist :P I tend not to care about haters' opinions, because they're so caught up in themselves that they can't tell how pathetic they are

 I like this stamp!

Yeeeesss. Without anime and manga, I wouldn't be who I am today.

Agreed. Actually, if it weren't for the little guy in my avatar, I probably would have no real friends and no plans for a future. I'm also grateful for a slew of other characters too. These characters and their stories helped me reach out and find people.

I strongly agree! I've met my closest friends through manga. I think it's how we met too, if I'm not mistaken....those manga discussions in the Devart forums. Wow, I haven't visited those in ages.

I agree totally. And it turns out, my real friends are the ones that stuck by me and respected my interests- the ones that like managa/anime. = P

Amen, sista. I met SO many of my friends through anime club in high school. Then when I got to college, I made friends with almost the entire anime club even though I wasn't a part of it, just from meeting them and recognizing our common interests. I'm not as big into manga and anime as I used to be, but it was a huge part of my life that did introduce me to a lot of my lasting friends, and I wouldn't trade that for the world. :)
Whoever made that stamp is probably just one of those close-minded assholes who used to shove me into lockers. >:(

Manga is how I met my best friend. She had some DBZ manga and I asked if I could look at one. We've been best friends ever since. ^_^

Assuming that people have no friends because of their interests and hobbies is stupid. The person that made their stamp obviously doesn't know how people work if they assume crap like that. People can bond over anything. I've met a lot of friends through anime, manga, and video games. We talk and bond over other things, but it's still those three mediums that got us common ground to start with.
